Hinweis
Diese Vorlesung findet nur in Englisch statt.
This module completes the basic foundation of technical thermodynamics by applying the laws of thermodynamics to a variety of energy conversion processes.
In the lab the students will gain practical experience in running energy conversion devices on a laboratory scale as well as social competence through teamwork.
After successful completion of this module the student will be able to
- describe different pathways in energy conversion on transferring primary energy into technical useful energy.
- They learn to design different types of energy conversion devices such as furnaces, fuel cells, gas turbines and Rankine cycles on a quantitative basis.
- Also describing the environmental impact on behalf of CO2-emissions by burning fossil fuels is part of the learned methods.
- Furthermore, they will assess different energy conversion capabilities using the exergy concept.
